During guitar class today somebody broke their g string

I don't know about anyone else but I like to mute the G# with my middle finger when I'm doing the (third string "up" from the bottom) C# business. Something about it muddies it too much if you leave it open. It still sounds okay if you don't. Also, it seems like you want to really slide one finger up and let one finger do all the notes at that part, rather than dedicating a finger to each note and "anchoring" them on it. Probably made no sense to anyone- I'm no good at explaining technical stuff

How to tune without programs and stuff;
-Be sure your guitar is tuned correctly (EADGBe)
-Tune the A string by 'comparing' it to the E-string (4th fret)
-Now your A has turned into an A flat, tune your E on the 5th fret, by comparing it to A. That way it will also become an E flat.
-Now do this with A (5th fret) to D, D (5th fret) to G, G (4th) fret to D and D (5th fret) to e.
-Now make sure your E flat turns into a D flat, simply tuning it with the D-flat.
Sorry for the bad english.

It's funny, i just started playing guitar, and every song tutorial Marty makes which he says is easy, i find difficult to do, while this song, not being noted as easy is going as a fruit trough a hurrybee! or something like that<3<3 thanks for the lesson
Why?, Kurt Cobain!, why you hate the "E" tunning!?
