  • I was there as well - it was an incredible day! My reason for going was Queen, but Steve was amazing too! A couple of years later I bumped into him at the Festival of Mind, Body and Spirit at Olympia, he was really nice and chatted and gave me an autograph. Saw him on stage again at Hammy Odeon on his Open tour - 1980-81.

  • Cool

  • I was there too - Yes it was definitely 1976

  • @duarteluder

I was there too, and yes, it was in 1976... It was a very great day for all the Steve hillage band !

  • Yes and Basil from Zorch clapping away behind the VSC3 like a looney....I was there. 76 pretty sure. 35 f-ing years ago....

  • @RideFlame Yes, September 1976 defenitely, I was there too

  • I was there, what an amazing day. Queen headlined, but Steve Hillage was my reason for going. This clip doesn't do the performance any justice but better than nothing.

  • This reminds me of what a great performer steve is. His whammy bar action after the first solo appears to send his strat drastically flat. Being a pro, he recovers it quickly enough to sing the second verse faultlessly.

  • @tomstickland nah it was actually called Gosub... heheh
