I've been flying for over 40 years and most of that time was in powered fixed wings including some aerobatic bi-plane. I had some sailplane experience shortly after I got my license but never had much opportunity to go soaring since I was always out of the country. I searched around and found a cool instructor who could give me a check ride in an aerobatic Grob which is a lot more responsive than a trainer bus. Once he figured out I really could fly and wasn't going to drill into a mountain, he took the video and let me play with the plane. For non-pilots, remember this is a "sailplane" with no engine. All of the noise is from the air blowing into the cockpit and sometime we got up to around 90 so you can hear the air.
