  • Child Protective Services, under the guise of protecting children, is one of the biggest threats to, families and children. and democracy. Please support this crucially important amendment.

  • Although it's pathetic that an amendment like this is necessary, its passage is vital to ensure that government does not usurp parental authority. Please do all you can to support this important amendment!!

  • This is the USA. What has happened to the intellect of our citizens? How could anyone not understand what is really going on here? Remember the Nazi indoctrination and control of the German children who ultimately turned in their own parents to death squads. You may think it could never happen here, but remember this. The murdered German parents didn't believe it could ever happen either. Every step the government takes to control our children moves us closer to losing ALL of our rights.

  • We cannot allow government to revoke our pareentaal rights. How wrong that would be.

  • "Raise a child in the way that they should go, and when they are older, they will not depart from it"......so, if you had no boundaries growing up, you will not respect the boundaries of those around you.....a child, at the age of 12, is still learning and developing core values.....leaving them to "the wolves" is not only ridiculous, but irresponsible.....yes, parental styles might vary somewhat.....but giving your child no boundaries and no guidance??? Ridiculous!!

  • It is me that goes to prison for killing her 18yr or 21yr old boyfriend. If my 15yr old son gets a girl pregnate who do you think has to deal with those actions? I can't throw him out and tell him well you have a family now your future is forfeit. I'm sorry if you can't understand the complexities of the issue. No one, not the un and not the police, have the right to interfer with my parenting.

  • see, until you are an adult we as parents are responsible for your actions. If you break the law or get harmed we are responsible. When you turn 17 or are emancipated then you make your own choices until then you have only the privacy we allow you. My kiddos have my respect and privacy up to the time they prove they can't handle the responsibility. If they make a mistake I'm their saftey net. It's my money and my butt on the line. If my teenage daughter is out after curfew and gets date raped..

  • @grendal1136 I agree with @chep2272. I do not have children. There is no advantage to a parent having access to a childs medical records once they are age 12 for instance (it's 12 under UK law that they are entitled to confidentiality). It is perfectly reasonable that children should have the right to privacy and free access to lawfull media. To the religious parents: Nowhere in the bible does it say that dating should be restricted by age. Religion is in no way helpful in modern society.

  • @grendal1136 It would not be possible to put forward both the perspectives of the young people and parents. From what I can see you are against a law that is designed to protect children from abuse which is very close to condoning the abuse of children. The amendment that is being suggested is fighting the UNCRC instead of complimenting it. In my opinion the best possible option is to pass a law that defines what is reasonable.I don't see the advantages of parents having their 15 yo med records.

  • @TheMoleMan95 let me see so far everything you said is from the role of a child..... do you have children of your own?

  • This is a very well produced teaser. It stirs the emotions of parents to consider what it would be like to lose the authority in their homes. We can't wait to see the docudrama!

  • @ibreuer Getting rid of any service that protects children would be breaking international law not to mention irresponsible. You are obviously very uneducated. These services protect the children who are being sexually ABUSED. Billions could be saved on getting rid of services that protect adults, but you would not agree to that would you.
