@squigily1 The fact that you can't understand the storyline doesn't make it weird. Honestly this franchise is everything the SFA series TRIED to acheive but couldn't. Also, pay attention to the names, moves, and the look of each character. they are all tributes to various icons of rock, all the way down to the names and pieces of their indidviual themes. If you don't like the game that is fine, but don't pass it off as trash because YOU don't like it.

@Hasaryu such typical anime trying to pull of a mideval look wearing gloves n coats. then dumb ass names: sol, chip, KY. with a weird as story-line way more confusing than street fighter. at least I can get un-experienced players to like street fighter. My friend walked in while I was playing guilty gear and was like " this game makes no sense". It can't hold a spot on the shelf next to street fighter because it's always pushed off into the garbage.

@KatzNinja It goes based on damage, yes. As well as time. Also getting hit by another non-allied fighter gives you additional burst, as does getting juggled between two opponents. Or getting hit after bursting, before you have a chance to react also gives you a lot of burst.

The Fighting is much more complicated and smoother than any SF game I have come across. Also, I find Guilty Gear to be a much more skill based, while still being free to make your own combos. So you are right, It won't hold a spot on the same shelf as Street fighter, because before It's even put up, it's gone.

what's up with arc games n making weird ass fighters. this game cannot even hold a spot on the same shelf with street fighter and SNK. the characters just look gay and have corny names with over the top costumes!!!!
