Tibetans, young and old, held a noisy protest outside the UN Building in support of monks in Tibet, where flaring violence resulted in burned shops and vehicles, and gunshots fired in the streets of the capital, Lhasa. A radio report said two people had been killed.

According to Phurbu Tsering of the Tibetan Association, more than 70 Tibetans had been killed by Chinese authorities in Lhasa, 1,000 people had been arrested, and all the monasteries had been locked up.

  • Communist China must respect Human Rights and stop its policy of inhuman treatment of Tibetans n Christians n Foreigner discrimnation before the Olympic games can have value. This sweetgame has been rocked with violence and disorder around the world because Chinese Communist government does not want to free Tibetans. They canclaim to have a free and fair system but the reality is China needs tobe an eye-opener for the world governments to intervene. Its Human Right record is poor n Tibetans suffer.

  • @bhshootingstar - Yes Amerika had slaves but not Tibet, get the fact.

  • Please forgive me, His Holiness is completely screwed in the head.

I will go down in history as the Dalai Lama that broke a 1190 year old treaty between Tibet and China. In the small print it says, allying with an enemy is tantamount to declaration of war. So what did I do? Overwhelmed with delusions of grandeur, I conspired with my British friends to form a breakaway serfdom apart from China. We FAILED, tee hee hee!

  • These fucking bastards Chinese have border issues with all of his neighboring country (except 17th century muzzie land Pakistan). Why they keep taking somebody's land (like Tibet) even though they have a huge nation with large land area? Fucking bastards. China is also encouraging and supporting nuclear programs for Iran, North Korea, plus they have anti-US policy all the time- Western allies just need 1 more reason to attack Chinese bastards.

  • @jonnycub80

No no no my little grasshopper. It is you who needs to learn more. Tibet buddhism in no way shape or form represents buddhism but its own ultra conservative fundamentalist version that is much closer to hinduism than actual buddhism complete with caste in feudal tibet.

  • @Tendagami

"Christainity, Islam and Judaism are all about blind faith" ..........you mean like blindly believing in a 14th reincarnate of a lama???

  • @jewishwarrior666

You need to learn about what you speak......the Dalai Lama was not the Governmental leader of Tibetan until HE WA ASKED TO BE BY THE PEOPLE, before then he was simply the RELIGIOUS LEADER, so there is your DEMOCRACY the PEOPLE OF TIBET VOTED!!! and he is against the SHUGDEN movement because in the practice of Shugden, who I bet you cannot even tell me who it is, CALLS FOR KILLING OTHER BUDDHIST, which is not inline with BUDDHIST teachings......YOU ARE A IDIOT!!!!!

  • @jewishwarrior666

Christainity, Islam and Judaism are all about blind faith. It can't stand the test of reason and logics of 21 century.

Buddhism preaches interdependence, causality and impermanence etc which stands the test of the time.

Not something dumb like God created blahh .......... but when there is evil in the world it blames Satan as if the Almighty is no longer almighty.

  • FREE Tibet, East Turkestan, South Mongolia, China and the West Bank

  • "Tibetans want democracy" So when are they gonna elect another dalai lama???
