Joe: *stops walking and turns her round to look at him* so what you gonna do?
Sel: *looks at him helpless* i dunno...
Joe: *bites his lip* do what you feel you wanna do, Sel. Im not gonna boss you around. Whatever happens, well still be mates, right?
Sel: *smiles and hugs him* best mates.
Nick: *turns the corner of the street and sees Joe and Selena hugging. He stops in his tracks and watches as they both lets go laughing and smiling*
Joe: *hits her arm playfully* youre such a dork!
Sel: *pretends to be shocked* omg...
Joe: *chuckles and picks her up over his shoulder and begins walking, doesnt see Nick standing just ahead of him*
Sel: *hitting Joes back gently* JOE!! Put me down!
Joe: *laughs* not on your life, Sel *begins spinning around slowly but stops when he catches sight of Nick standing right in front of them*
Sel: *doesnt see him* Joe, i swear if you dont put me down, then im gonna use my ninja-like reflexes on you... then well see whos the best.
Joe: *not listening to Sel but puts her down, facing him*
Sel: *laughs* well, about time. What took you so long? *Ruffles his hair*
Joe: *staying silent and looking above Sels head*
Sel: *turns to see what hes looking at and freezes when she shes Nick just inches away from her. Her smile drops and she stands staring at him*
Nick: *swallows quickly* Joe, give us a minute?
Joe: *puts his hands on Sels waist to give a signal to her*
Sel: *raises her hands and puts them on Joes, squeezing them gently before letting go. She turns her head to the side and whispers* its fine. Go to ahead without me; Ill catch up in a minute.
Joe: *lets her go and walks off, glancing behind every now and again before turning the corner*
Sel: *Sighs as she watches him go and turns back to Nick* what, now?
Nick:*looks at Selena* are you gonna spend the rest of your life hating me and hanging with Joe?!
Sel: *narrows her eyes at him* whats wrong with hanging with Joe? Incase you forgot, he USED to be your best friend.
Nick: *sighs and goes quiet* i know, i didnt mean it like that...
Sel: *Sighs and fights back the urge to scream and shout at him* besides, youve got Demi aswell so whats the big deal?
Nick: *rolls his eyes* you think me and Demi are gonna be friends after weve both just lost 2 things that are basically most important to us?! Use your brain Selena...
Sel: *glares at him* its funny... one second you say im one of the most important things to you and the next your insulting me with all the hate in the world. Are you trying to apologize or start a war?!
Nick: Does it look like i wanna fight with you, right now?
Sel: *her tone cold and quiet* Then stop snapping at me.
Nick: *sighs deeply and looks at her*
Sel: *looks away from him impatiently*
Nick: Im sorry.
Sel: What are you sorry for this time? There are a lot of things to pick from.
Nick: I know, and sorry for that. Im sorry for everything thats happened. Its all just gone wrong because of some stupid little mistake and its ruining us.
Sel: Its not like we wouldve lasted forever, Nick.
Nick: *looks at her, hurt by the feeling of his heart being torn out and stamped upon. He swallowed slowly, his mouth immediately running dry. He let out a small whisper* what?
Sel: *looks at him again, instantly regretting it from the way the betrayal and pain showed all over his face* nothing ever does... things wouldve changed eventually. I know you, Nick... you get bored easily. You wouldve moved on, eventually... *sees Nick just staring at her. She sighs and turns to go*
Nick: *calls after her* what if youre wrong?
Sel: *Turns around* what?
