SPOKANE - Bertha Ann Berry, age 73, passed on Monday, November 1, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA where she was surrounded by her children. Bertha was born in LaPort, IN to Hazel Pauline (Davis) Hay and Orvald Cedrec Hay on February 13th, 1937. When she was 19 years old her family moved to Yakima, WA. It was here that she met the love of her life Junior Lewis Berry and they were married on 01/18/1958. She and Junior raised 6 children together: Georgia, Brenda, Rocky, Mark, Susan and Roger. Bertha was a warehouse worker and homemaker in Yakima. Bertha worked for Hanson Fruit warehouse for 16 years. When Bertha and Junior retired they moved to scenic Kamiah, Idaho. Bertha loved going fishing and camping but her most talented thing was playing the guitar and singing. During Mom's life she was always asked to sing as we were growing up in what ever church we attended or belonged to at the time. Mom was very talented in playing her old Gibson guitar and she could sing and carry the most beautiful tunes. Mom also loved gardening; her yard was always full of beautiful flowers and plants.

Mom was preceded in death by her beloved husband Junior Lewis Berry on September 24th, 2010. Her parents Hazel Pauline Hay and Orvald Cedrec Hay and two children: Georgia and Rocky and two sisters Aletha and Sharon and one brother Harry. She is survived and will be greatly missed by four children: Brenda Quiroz and husband Terry of Zillah, WA, a son Mark Berry and wife Debi of Naches, WA, a daughter Susan Dotson and husband Jim of Zillah, WA and a son Roger Berry of Kamiah, ID and two sisters Gloria Peterson of Yakima, WA and Kathy Willis of Selah, WA and two brothers Willie Hay of Yakima, WA and Jerry Hay of Wapato, WA and 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Mom had a very special love for her heavenly father and she was a mighty prayer warior.
