  • yeah i got one, i have got vl throddlebody, t28 turbo, bored out bottom end 40 thou in my garage i have fj20 (520cc) injectors with a vl turbo fuel pump, turbo timer dual solinoid elec boost controller and my Microtech MT8 ecu dunno what ill get out of it ill keep you posted

  • i miss mine!!! was my second car, such acceleration for a little car........was so fun, but too expensive to repair turbo lol

  • mine smashed 2 pistons at full noise

  • thanks for the info. the exa is still a good car considering the faults i sold mine after i blew the turbo.

i still have good memorys of my old exa

    :D

Its not actually the computer. Its the water temp sensor. The wiring and/or sensor burn out/fail and that causes the computer to run the car in its "Cold Enrichment" map as it thinks the engine is still cold, thus over-fueling. You fix that, you fix the problem. Been building these cars for the last 13 years just for reference. Been through all and I mean ALL the problems with these ET/EXA's. Dodgy wiring to the comp was a common issue too as you correctly mentioned.

  • Stock standard engine of a Nissan Exa is a CA18DE. Just search Ebay for it if you need one but they are not any better then the stock NX engine

  • exa is fun to drive. only down side is some of them have a glitch in their computer that prevents the car from accelerating properly this happens rarely but its anoying & it can be dangerous if ur in a T intersection & the car lags all of a sudden

the computer is kept under the passenger side seat & tapping it usualy fixes the problem but still u dont need that distraction when driving

i first took it to a mechanic he lied & said it was the turbo so he could try get ca$h of me

  • I love that he moved over to the computer, looked and panned back to the car lol.

    Was it something terrible ?

  • i love these cars pocket rockets i had mine it was my first car

  • do you know were can i get an engine of an EXA???

hoe fast can your ride goes?..
