  • So what are you playing with the right hand? Inversions? The left looks like you are playing octives? No?

  • @cracks21229

Yep, the left is octives, wouldn't know what inversions are though :-)

  • I play guitar (relatively speaking), but I like composing music on piano the best. If I had my choice to play one instrument very good forever, I'd pick piano. It is such a beautiful instrument in the right hands (pun intended). Those hands aren't mine.

  • @Roelpianoman Thanks. I play guitar mostly (relatively speaking), but I really love writing songs on piano the best. If I had my choice to play any instrument very good forever, it would be piano, hands down (pun intended).

  • @cracks21229 Hey, yes it's played with inversions. (I have the sheet music, and if you watch Nick's hands closely, you can see him playing inverted chords.)

  • Could you please put up a tutorial?

  • @Roelpianoman I am no expert, but to put it simply, inversions are mixing the notes up in a chord. For instance, instead of a C chord being played C-E-G, you would play it E-C-G or G--C-E. I just remember Nick Cave saying that piano songs sound best when the chords are close together, which, I took to mean he plays inversions of some sort. You don't move your right hand all too much, so I suspect you too are playing inversions. But I am no expert, as I said. I sounds good. I like it!

  • super mooi!

  • @sforox

    Thx :-)

Nope, very easy to play actually. Five minutes.

    Grtz,

    Roel
