slipknot's Before I Forget cover and Tutorial

**PLEASE READ AND COMMENT**This is a tutorial for Slipknot's song Before I forget. When I explain the verse I accidentally said "chorus" so don't beat me up too bad about that! The song is a lot of fun to play and Slipknot is an awesome band full of great musicians. Hopefully by seeing this people will know how difficult their music is to play - even though this is one of their simpler songs as far as guitar playing goes. Listen to Slipknot, support the band, and have fun playing their music!! P.S. Sorry the video got cut short but it was just me playing the song at full speed again.

You have not found a good tutorial, well yours is NOT a good one. First off, WTF is up with the amp? WAYYY too much gain. Second are you serious on this tutorial. How is your verse even close?

I learned the verse and all the tabs from a tab book made by a little company called Hal Lenard - ever heard of them? didn't think so - you probably are to busy buying fucking good house keeping mags. And you are right - my amp is a piece of shit I know that - funny thing about life is that we all can't afford to buy huge ass half stacks and thirty different pedals - the purpose of this video is to teach people the correct way to play the song -if you think its wrong take it up with Hal Lenard.

Tabs show you what finger to put on what fret. Yeah, I get that. So you can honestly say that when you listen to the song and listen to how you play it, it's the same?

Yes - find the song without the vocals and listen to it. Mine doesn't SOUND the same because all I have for a pedal is an rp80 - where I either have to much gain or not enough. the tabs however are correct, one thing to keep in mind is that in the real song micky thompson and rim root are both playing at the same time. I obviously can only play one part by myself and I chose the part with the pinch harmonic. bottom line is its a fun song to play.and it sound better if you turn up the volume
