  • and dont forget babe ruth played when it was all whites.. and i find it funny that everyone hates steroids and ppl who take them, but steroids have been around since at least the 60s and nfl players were known to take them in 70s but no one dares to say any mlb players took them..hank aaron might have. who knows. we all know he was known to take amphetamines... which is banned now.. so i dont get why ppl think hank is this do nothing wrong type player

  • This ASS CLOWN bonds looked like a venician blind when he came out of college. He couldn't hit a fucking baseball past shortstop with his drugs. McGwire, on the other hand was parking balls long before the drug he took (used for recouperation, not muscle). This joke shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as McGwire.

  • the only reason bonds hit all those home runs is because of all the steroids he used. the record shouldn't even count

  • I just want people to take note of one thing: not one single player from the other team is congratulating Bonds as he rounds the bases. If you look back on McGwire's 62nd, every infielder shakes his hand. Mark still got respect. Keep in mind I'm saying nothing regarding the validity of either of Bond's or McGwire's records (Maris did it without roids), rather I'm focusing on the notion of respect towards the men (or lack thereof).

  • @nascarfanatic2425 Imagine how many he would have hit if the pitching had been like it is today.

  • @mikes4991 So if im a professional baseball hitter NOT taking steroids, and I workout like a machine for a year bulk up and hit 78 homeruns the next year...am i cheating for working out and getting stronger? So my point being, what your really all panty-scrunch'd about is that Bonds and Co. got bigger w/o exercising as much as some other players. Not sure what that has to do with hitting homeruns, but if you feel taking a record away from a black man because he has a faster workout program...

  • @lunarvines well they do so...

  • Meh the Sosa vs McGwire home run battle was more intense than this, no offense.

  • They keep saying "record" like this actually meant something. Roger Maris holds the record not this roid king.

  • @lunarvines Steroids don't help you hit the ball. They help you hit the ball farther. Not just anyone can hit at the major league level, but taking supplements to help you hit the ball farther is definitely cheating.
