ERYKAH BADU - YOU GOT ME. the original of this track is a classic in it's own right, with THE ROOTS smooth rap flow and ERYKAH'S mellow vocals, where as the d+b version, stripped down to the bare bones of the song,i.e. the melody, and then the rollin beats and bassline are added, with just a touch of the original vocal drop from ERYKAH, and the result is what we hear now. it's fine production, and the fact of how it doesnt deviate to far away from the original, kinda makes you forget there is no rap from THE ROOTS on this version. you may love it or hate it? thats your choice! enjoy! for more videos click on my username in blue. peace
