Song sung originally by Kate Wolf, written by George Schroder. She had a beautiful, rich, alto voice, and she wrote lots of music - over 200 songs in 15 years. Unfortunately, she died in 1986, which may be why you haven't heard of her, but she is one of my favorite folk singers.
