I really wish CityTV would retire that line. It's so associated with Mark Dailey. They have some sound-alike guy doing it now and it just seems disrespectful to some degree. It's as if they're trying to replace "The Voice". Every time I hear it all I can think is "Who ever that guy is he's no Mark Dailey."

I miss Mark as much as I miss the little clock in the corner of the screen. They should bring that back.

I never realized how much Mark Dailey really meant to me until now... just that calm strong voice on the TV. RIP Mark, you were the best!

one amusing thought while watching these idents is that, the current ones city is using (an entire series of which started in the fall) is, thankfully, almost similar to how these older ones were made. i mean, mark's quips are still there (e.g., "gentlemen, your banquet awaits!" in an ident that featured a burger resto)...interesting vignettes of the city with The Voice...i hope they keep those idents for a while--that's mark's lasting legacy...
