As 2007 was about to segue into 2008, Victory Park at the American Airlines Center metamorphosized into Dallas' answer to Times Square in New York City. What you see is the complete fireworks show following the stroke of midnight and "Auld Lang Syne." Cheers!

  • I've been in Dallas for a while and I thought the city was quite bare. But then wow, Victory Park and AT&T Plaza totally rocked my socks off this News Years Eve. What an exciting venue for anything. My hats off to Dallas -- this city is becoming better and more exciting every year.

  • Victory Park was and is arguably that hotshot of adrenaline the city had sorely lacked up until now. Rest assured yours weren't the only socks to be rocked off at New Year's Eve; the better part of 10,000 people can attest to the same!

  • As a member of the pyrotechnics team, I would like to say "THANK YOU" to everyone there! It took us two days to bring you this display. All the sore muscles from climbing ladders and stairs to set this up on the rooftops are more than worth it when we can look back and hear and see the crowd reaction. During the show we are so busy that we don't have time to actually watch it. We are also looking forward to next year and planning an even more awesome display. THANKS AGAIN DALLAS!

  • You guys busted a lot of hump to make this happen, and I am very glad I got to witness—and capture—the results of all your hard work and perseverance up close and personal. Whereas, let the countdown to the 2009 extravaganza begin!

  • I was THERE!! Wow you were lucky to get a spot in the Plaza. We got there late because since this was the first year they only estimated 3000 people MAX!! Who would've known that over 10,000 would show up. That was a pretty good "trial run" especially since it was only advertised for one week. Next year it will be off the hook!!

  • I stood on the plant platform near the entrance to N9NE Steakhouse for an ideal vantage point above ground level, as did several other YouTubers, Flickreenos, and so on. Did you say "10,000"?! Can't wait to see what the 2009 extravaganza will look like!

  • AWESOME

  • wait...where is Victory Park exactly?

  • The lead pyrotechnician and I both totally agree...but consider the fact that we had about 1/10th of the London budget! Hopefully we can get them to loosen the purse strings a bit next year since this one was so well received by the community!

  • not as good as londons fireworks

  • I Love Victory Plaza especially the WFAA Studios! Its like the entire Plaza has that HD Feel to it!
