  • I guess thanks for taking the time but you seem like you either A.) Don't really know that much about ice fishing or B.) Are dumbing this down WAY too much, like, for a slow 1st grader.

    You can deadstick anywhere in the water column.

  • Another great way to catch fish when they aren't very active and a jig worked with a lot of action isn't producing is to switch to a small plain hook and piece of bait. Then use a homemade rod holder to set your rod in so that the pole is parallel with the ice. That way you have your hands free.
