  • Sometimes I wonder if it's worth my time. I have so many other things I should be doing with my day to provide for myself and others. Is it worth the hours I'll spend lost in my own mind? I still don't know, but I'll give it some. I refuse to give up on being artistic, even if it means taking the chainsaw out and making my own statement in a log in the woods. Quick and easy, no wastefull time. I miss it.

  • Onceyougoatee, while I too wonder if it is worth my time, I do know that it make me happier. I find creativity to be a natural antidepressant. Not that the creative act isn't fraught with it's share of negativity, but on the whole, it makes me feel like I am living myself and not someone elses. I think making art is for everyone, like sex, food, dancing, good conversation. We need it. Thanks for commenting.

  • Hey, Hey Hey,

I loved the dancing. Im a dancer in here.

I get everything you said. Fun, yes.

Iam a writer, songwriter but haven't allowed space in my life for paint or media formation for the easel yet.

It's in me...my mother painted landscapes...my dad portraits...I'll love the opportunity...its a great extravagance right now...there is time later...but the song art is bursting this minute...got to deal with it.

you are on to it...in it..lovely to listen to and watch. thanks for the lift.

  • Mamamialove, I just watched your "I Believe in Love" video. You are a cool woman, in style and substance. Thanks for the comments.

  • this is one of the most original approaches to blogging that i have seen.

  • Thank you AVDJ, I appreciate that. I am working on my next one right now. At the rate I'm going, it should only take a few years to complete. (please let that not be true)

  • love this so much, the freedom you give me, comfort me. we need it, art making, definitely. Also, making something not for yourself can be not FUN. it is improtant to do things you love, and to go these other places. love to you.

  • Caren you are such a ray of sunshine and a fantastic teacher!

  • You've got mail.

  • this is awesome

  • Love this, I for one HAVE TO CREATE ART, If I'm not, I am NOT happy. Love your take on it.. It should indeed be done for yourself. Otherwise your only dictating what others would want. :)

  • Again E X C E L L E N T ! ! !

  • Right on! I have recently walked away from a maniacal corporate life...now what? mmmmm what do I want to do when I grow up or pursue in this new chapter...wow what a tangent this vid allowed me to go off on...:) Thank you for sharing your slice of life with us!

  • How else do you find what you are looking for without the searching. sometimes we find it and other times we pass by only coming close to the goal.
