Although I have made many videos, this one is one of my favorites because it's about love. Now, with that said, this video isn't all puppy dogs and chocolate hearts. It's not that kind of love. It's the kind of love that sometimes you wish you weren't in, because of the pain it makes you feel.

Or I could just be going off on one of my silly rants and this is just a fun little vid to watch. :)

In any case, the subject of the video is Penance of the junior X-Men team called "Generation X" a.k.a. Hollow from The Loners. It's a Marvel Comics comic book character dating back from the 1990s and my childhood. Penny has had just a bad run of luck her entire life, with the one bright spot being when Generation X adopted her into their family.

But the school for gifted youngsters (read: mutant children) has closed its doors, casting Penny into the harsh, unforgiving world once more. In it, she has found The Loners, specifically Phil Urich (a former Green Goblin of the 1990s!) and hopes that they will take her in like Generation X once did. Things take a turn for the worse when Phil's past catches up with him and the infamous "Goblin madness" seizes him. Holly (short for Hollow, which is what they call her) must make a choice: should she side with The Loners or with Phil Urich?

A long time ago, she had to make a similar choice between the delusional fiend Emplate and Generation X. She chose Generation X. But that was all in the past. What she chooses now will determine her future.

  • May i know the title of the first song and who sung it?

  • Song information for my videos can always be found in the More Info section. 1) Anna Nalick - Wreck Of The Day

  • Excellent put together for the girl, Penance. She has beauty mixed with mystique. And, I certainly can not wait to see who just happens to be occupying her current form as Hollow.

  • Thanks! Being a big fan of the Borg, I can see how you might not have a problem with a concept like "different people are inside Hollow" but... personally, I'd like it if it turns out to be the same person who was in her at the end of Generation X, namely (as far as we can tell), the real Penance mutant girl, and the whole Hollow form thing is just the result of Marius tampering with black magic forces.

  • I could not agree with you more. I was not too keen on the whole Penance being Monet or even the St. Croix twins. I think it was just a bad road to take and takes away from Penance even having a remote chance of individual sentience.

As for Hollow, we can only hope that she is within herself as far as that goes. I certainly am not thrilled with the idea of another Generation X scenerio. It was okay the first time. But, why beat a dead horse?

  • You're right, I think too much time has passed for another Generation X scenario... all the same, I wouldn't say no if Marvel wanted to, say, make a cartoon movie version of Generation X.

  • DAAAAAAAAW!! this was sweet!!! XD

  • I am definitely for an animated Gen. X vid. That would so frakkin' rock!!!

  • Hah, yeah, that was definitely one of the biggest screw ups Marvel has ever made. And to think they'd do that to Penance doesn't exactly give you much faith in the comics industry as a whole... If you're at all interested, though, go to your local comic book store and flip through "The Loners: Secret Lives of Super Heroes" trade paperback. It's where I got some of these later images of Penny.

  • I agree and I'd absolutely love, and the other night went as far as to dream about (hey, I can't help my subconscious lol) her being in her own comic book. But yeah, some sort of Spotlight book would be great -- I think Marvel has a title called Marvel Presents for that sort of thing. Unfortunately, I don't think Penny would be their first choice. ;) Did you know she was in a six-part mini in 2007 called The Loners?
