This is my first video...I know the quality sucks, particularly the lighting...but I'm an amateur at making videos. I hope you enjoy my playing. I'm more than willing to listen to and accept constructive criticism.

This is MY interpretation of the song. In a sense it's a tribute to George/The Beatles...as well as Clapton, and subliminally a tribute to Roy Buchanan. Buchanan, Clapton, & May are by far my biggest influences. I play on a Squier '51, through a DigiTech RP 200, and into a early 80's solid state Fender (P.O.S.) amp.

ENJOY!!

  • Wow Byron, I didn't know you could play like this!

I think the video quality could be improved if you placed the light source behind the camera rather than behind yourself, so maybe you shouldn't stand in front of a video next time (unless that mysty silhouette look is intentional).

Aside from that, my only recommendation is to point the camera more at the guitar so we can see what you're doing down there ;-)

  • Thanks bro, it's really good to hear from you. It's definitely been a while. It was my first video...hence the mistakes. I have a really cheap digital camera, and my bookshelf served as a makeshift 'tripod.' I'm glad you enjoyed my playing. I would def like to see you and the crew, next time I get up in your neck of the woods.

    Peace man!

  • Regardless of the video quality, there's a good feel coming through.

If getting a decent amp together (or the means to record it) is a problem, you should take a look at things like Guitar Rig or Amplitube for the computer... I guess they'll never beat a real setup, but it might sound a little better than the P.O.S you mentioned in your description :p

Seriously though, nice playing. Keep 'em coming!

  • What influences do you hear?

  • Yeah the sound is too hard to push past, but your playing remids me of someone. Ive been listening to this kid Riley Stockwell he seems to have some great shit and the other guys that play with him are great musicians as well.

  • Very good jamming, you capture the mood of the song well. It's a pity that the sound quality is not the best...

  • ouch!

  • Definitely contact us if you're visiting and we'll try to get together. Don't expect a jam session or anything though, because I can't play any of the instruments that I own :-P

  • To be honest I'm not so good at picking influences, although here I'd have to say Clapton is most evident.
