Don't know where this one came from but thanks to GTK we can see it. It wasn't on their album. Sounds too similar to "Same Old Feeling"...in both name and sound. Maybe it was their last roll of the dice before the group imploded and went their seperate ways.

  • I never ever compared Polly with Dione Warwick. Polly was better than her and Dusty Springfield.Remember zipping to work on the Triumph on a Sunday morning to the shiprepair yard ,knocking down quite a few rivets then like the song she was mine all mine on a Sunday afternoon and she still is. My wife was born on the same day as Polly Brown and we were early twentys when all these songs were around.Seeing Polly on 2009 she really hasn't changed to us because we are the same age .Wonderful times.

  • No Polly Brown is from Birmingham

(uk),I think they all were. Also was glad to find out that Polly is alive & well !!

  • Pickettywitch's version of "That Same Old feeling" got to number 30 in America in spite of being released after the "Fortunes" version of the same song. In UK, it reached number 5. This particular tune was on of the last to be recorded before the band split.

  • it sounds like a summer's eve commercial...lol

  • Heard of Picketywitch years and years ago, but never heard them, especially on the radio where I could have tried them. First time ever here, that's YouTube. Closest description of them would be a Motown and Spanky and Our Gang blend. Like the melodies and arrangements, but lyrically nothing new to say or how to say it. They evoke a lot of good memories for most people here, but still, that probably stopped them from making the crossing.

  • I didn't think that it sounds TOO similar to That Same Old Feeling - but now you mention it you may be right. I enjoyed both songs at that time - both nice harmonies, both a lot of fun. Nostalgia!

  • What a memories in Arica Chile. Girls in the beach doing their games with the guys.!! Maritza still I love you. We are a little old but our heart is still strong for love!!!!

  • I remember as a little kid my mum playing their songs in the early 70's. Until today I forgot they even existed and I always thought they a black group from the US. Definitely have a Motown feel about their music. Happy I rediscovered them today.

  • This group looks like early contenders for swingers of the week?

  • no, they're all English

  • all their songs are on a cd called That Same Old Feeling
