  • Not so heavy duty to deter comment. It is an incredible test of will to stay awake. Dr. Feely has another presentation on YT somewhere. It is on the effects of CO2 on marine life. That was a little more watchable. :)

  • Clearly didn't watch the entire talk, or didn't understand that ocean acidification could eventually kill off almost all marine life...

  • @mmikemoore,

I think Trumphent was just saying that this speaker is boring. That's all.

  • @gizmo2084

Well, he's easily bored, or not interested enough to listen to a world class expert.

  • @TRUMPHENT

I record dozens of talks similar to Feely's every year, this talk in San Francisco was better received than almost all of them, especially by graduate students....you can see them in the video...so I have to disagree with the principal, allowing that you personally didn't care for it too much, you are entitled to your opinion.

  • @mmikemoore

Richard came right out and said that the Japanese may have to give up their diet of mostly fish with a decade or two. Over fishing/harvesting, combined with ocean acidification will probably pretty much destroy our oceans with in the next generation!
