'Up' review by Michael Phillips

For some reason, I thought that this film would suck...

The advertisements made it seem like a goofy, unfunny, pop culture riddled film (You know, like dreamworks)

This film was really deep...

Especially the beginning of the film...

I'm glad Michael Phillips is going to be the new co-host of At The Movies along with A.O. Scott. They couldn't have picked a better choice.

UP is the great movie you never expected to see. Everything Pixar does is top quality, but this story really gets you. If this was not animated, and had more adult situations, I might of heard of it earlier. This is better in fact, cause your kids get a chance to watch a rich, deep, moving story, with sprinkles of wit, slapstick and adventure, that can be watched over and over.....

It's a shame the Academy doesn't give major awards to animated films like they do in Japan, because Up should have won Best Picture :)

God. PIXAR's done it again, another perfect movie. I'm sixteen years old and I still love these kinds of movies because I've grown up with the messiah of hollywood.

Best movie of 2009 by far.

I can't wait for: TOY STORY 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!! Oh my god!!!!! (N64 kid reference)
