Finally, after months and months of waiting, it seems the 2010 America's Cup race will take place in Valencia, Spain starting on Monday 08 February 2010. The american BMW Oracle team, headed by Larry Ellison, will battle it out against the Swim team Alinghi, owned by Ernesto Bertarelli in a best-of-three series. The races are scheduled for Monday 08 February, Wednesday 10 February and Friday 12 February if required. There is a spare day on Sunday 14 February.
The race will be the 33rd America's Cup and will test the skills of skipper Russell Coutts on his catamaran BMW Oracle and Bruce Butterworth on Alinghi AL-5. It will attract businessmen, sports and show biz personalities from around the world.
