Starting of a 2008 Chevy Cobalt, not cold. NOT my mom's new car.. just her rental. She got a 2009 Pontiac G8... it was having some problems with the theft-deterrent system, so she's had this for a week.

  • you shouldnt leave your gas tank that low thats how you ruin your fuel pump trust me my ex did it to his malibu and seized it and they said NEVER LET YOUR CAR GAS LEVEL UNDER A QUARTER OF A TANK

  • I'm 6'3"and I fit fine. I'm not skinny either... The back is actually really cramped but the front is spacious for a little car.

  • so thats what an abs light looks like on a cobalt!!! my 2010 ls has absolutely nothing on it, and to make matters worse it broke down on me today because the engine control module failed, it was quite embarrassing

  • @kart201

The driver seat is fine in you are under 6 ft. I meant the back seat is really cramped but i did notice it also feels very narrow in there too. I usually got 25 mpg overall. I calculated that myself, the trip computer lies.

  • @xoquixxoqafxo Everyone is entitled to his opinion I suppose. I'm almost 6 feet tall though and I don't find the interior cramped at all. Oh and I get better gas mileage than my girlfriend's 08 corolla.

  • HAHA of course this is a rental. Cobalt's are surprisingly peppy and fun to drive, but the interior is cramped, materials and fit and finish are lousy, and it gets crappy gas mileage for a small car. Despite the flaws, I'd rather rent this over a Corolla

  • @pjtart If the coolant gets to hot, there's a light, and the DIC will display a message. I do agree though, a gauge would be nice, but if you look across the board, some cars don't even have a DIC, just lights. With modern cooling systems and stuff, I don't really think its much of a problem, I'm sure they looked into the amount of cooling system issues before totally dropping the gauge form the car.

  • @pjtart It's in the DIC, it will tell you the coolant temperature in *F or *C depending on what you have it set to.
