color space is a ratio of information.

in a "4:2:2" color space, you have 4 units of information in the green colorspace, 2 units in red, and 2 units in blue.

4:4:4 color space has quadruple the amount of information, because there is double the red info and double the blue info.

i am not certain the nature of 4:2:0 colorspace, which is EXTREMELY prevalent (in the XDCAM EX, NXCAM, AVCHD, and AVCCAM)

i know there is blue data, so i don't get the zero, but i'm working on it.

  • Can someone explain color spaces to me? Please?...please...

  • @JesperA86 you can always put it in manual and rack the zoom at your desired speed
