Okay, so this video is pretty old now (january of this year.lol) as i've been meaning to upload it for quite some time. i cant seem to put it onto facebook as it requires a better program to read the file, so yeah, sorry maric but i've had to upload it here :s
well, the concept is borrowed mostly from the 1930s-1950s era of last century. it features costumes that may not look exactly like the fashion of those days but it was what we were trying to achieve. the choreography is inspired by various styles including: waltz/viennese, salsa, cha cha & most notably, disco. i wanted the pieces to reflect the style of the times but in a very subtle way. i kept it as a cool and smooth mood yet retaining that sassiness of the times. the disco part was essentially a "dance break" to pretty much celebrate the rest of the pieces in a fun way.
this was the biggest cotillion i've ever directed but it was such an experience to handle practically 30 people! insane number but so proud of everyone who brought to life my vision for Maric's Cotillion. thank you to everyone who helped me out with putting the show together as well. i know i couldnt have done much of it by myself.
I hope you guys like what we've come up with. it always brings a smile to my face just because of the way it makes me feel :) enjoy!

not my intention to make the guys look "gangster". it was the debutant girl who chose after all, what she wanted the look to feel like :) i wanted the smooth guy look.
