In all fairness, Jack Schmitt has a PhD in Geology, and has worked on all kinds of scientific issues during his tenure at the U.S. Geological Survey, as an astronaut-scientist at NASA , as a U.S. Senator, and since then, as a Professor and consultant.

You may disagree with his conclusions if you interpret the facts differently,

but Scmitt's credentials are extensive and unimpeachable.

When someone like Michael Moore speaks on "global warming",

it would be fair to say he has no background.
