PLEASE READ!! ****
So I'm sorry this video is horribly long, but I got really passionate and into telling my story to you all, so. If you don't want to watch it, don't or if you want to save it for a day that you have the time, by all means, do. This is just my story. Some patients might have worse stories than mine or better stories. We are all different. But, this, is mine. Hope you enjoy :)

  • Your video helped me a lot my husband just had a stroke from this disorder its sad he is 28 yrs old I just wanna know how long did it take you to recover from your stroke ?

  • @Kari6147 oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear that! :( I am wishing him the best and will keep your family in my prayers. The first stroke, the one which I lost feeling and dexterity in my right arm and leg as a result of, I recovered within 2 or 3 days. However, the second one in which I lost my feeling and dexterity in my right arm and leg AND lost my ability to speak well, I would say it took me about 4 to 5 days. Hope this helps!

  • Thanks for sharing your story. This video helped me with understanding Sickle Cell Anemia. Continue to take good care of yourself. You're one brave individual, stay positive :)

  • You're welcome! I will and thank you very much! It means a lot! :) <3

  • Thanks for sharing your story. You're very strong and brave. I have sickle cell trait and lots of people in my extended family have the full blown disorder. It's not easy living with this but, as you've shown, it's important to keep a positive frame of mind and take good care of yourself. Good luck!

  • @alnsubuga thank you so much! :)

  • My daughter is 7months and she has sickle cell anemia... its been scary. Ive been doing as much research as possible to educate myself on it. I have a C trait and her father has the S trait so we were told she has the mild version of it. Getting the phone from the doctor when she was only a week old was pretty overwhelming with all the information they told me. But i pray everyday for her. Thanks for sharing your story you're such a strong woman. Take care and God Bless

  • @abornpoetress oh! I'm so sorry to hear that! I've just always been told by numerous doctors that it doesn't cause any pain, and my parents have it and they are not affected by it AT ALL. Sorry if I offended you, and I hope that you stay well <3

  • i have sickel cell trait and it does hurt, it hurts just as much as sickle cell anemia. it effects people in different wayz........
