  • Yes you're right, I forgot to mention it in the video description ;-)

    Actually there's also a prelude (i.e. Praeambulum BWV 872a) to this Fughetta, but I don't have the sheet music for it.

  • This instrument has the most interesting and beautiful sound. Are these instruments harder to keep in tune than other harpsichords? Do you have any recordings on Swedish clavichords? I have read of some that had a compass of 6 octaves, and that were 7 feet in length! Dying to hear one of them!

  • To be honest, I'm not an expert in old instruments. I know that there aren't any original lute-harpsichords anymore, so for this recording they used a reconstrution by Keith Hill in 1995. It has gut strings than metal ones (compared to the harpsichord).

    And no, unfortunately I don't have any recordings on swedish clavichords.
