Ok, maybe it's just me, but his gestures ( Mr. D) reminded me of Steve Carell the entire time I was watching this. It seems that he was a huge influence in the brand of comedy, at least for this episode. I just discovered this series yesterday and I am watching all of them. Great stuff! Lucy should have retorted with, "and satisfaction brough it back though," when he asked what killed the cat. You have a new fan!

@thelordmemnoch I suspect Mr. Carell and I are influenced by many of the same people, Hope, Allen, Newhart, Carlin, etc... I like Steve Carell -- a lot, but I haven't actually seen enough of him to be ripping him off. I absolutely ripoff Hope, Woody, and Bob Newhart -- they're my top three.
