  • to je ten Istyle tady v praze?

  • yo, I'm czech guy n I don't feel sad as well noisebrother... I'm happy 2 ;-) hihi

  • Mac sux, just get a linux PC and be happy

  • borci

  • no dobrí

  • apple sux big time, can't you see it people? extreme marketing over preformance, new imac is piece of shit and i can't believe that 677MHz ram is installed inside, retarded optical drive, 250GB HDD (c'mon). shitty expensive upgrade and useless bunch of additional software...

  • There is not only duty, but also Czech VAT, that's another 19 percent. Then it's about $3,540. It's surely not Apple's blame. (But missing "official" Czech translation of Mac OS X, no Czech iTunes Store etc. definitely are.)

  • Short answer: Why? Because there are people who will pay it. If you don't want to pay the Mac premium -- and I don't blame you -- buy another computer. Don't bear a grudge, vote with your feet. Better still, buy 3 or 4 from the States, keep 1, and sell the others to your creative-yet-budget-conscious friends. Even with taxes, it sounds like you'd make a profit.
