Ryan Bayda (stanley cup) TJ oshie (revived Blues brought them to the playoffs) Parise (almost had 100 points this season) Zajac (made it to playoffs) Toews (completely revived the Blackhawks youngest captain in NHL AND led his team to the Playoffs).

@Alltimeboxing Technically fighting is illegal. But it's unofficially allowed because it is a big draw for fans. Ref's will usually let players go at it for a bit, but if you watch you'll see that as soon as they get to the ground, the ref's make an effort to break them up. That doesn't always work. I would guess there's also some safety issues for the ref's when they try and break it up.

@Coopopteric no I still don't really get it. In a lot of sports, when there is a big rivalry usually the fans may fight each other but not the players.. I mean, not EVERY time. Here, even the referees let them fight, like it is an entire part of the game... I don't think it's written in the rules, so that maybe a weird tradition I guess.

@Alltimeboxing @Alltimeboxing See that's the thing. Hockey is a team sport. And generally, teammates stick up for eachother. You're looking at one of the biggest rivalries in all of college hockey. Do you really think there isn't going to be lot of tension? The only things different about hockey fights and boxing fights is that hockey fights are on ice, and happen more than twice a year.
