Join NATO and pay the price, Putin warns Ukraine

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has warned Kiev that if Ukraine joins NATO, cooperation between the two countries will be affected. The announcement was made after Putin's meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Yulia Timoshenko in Moscow.

@StellandBlood well I am not american and my country was in europe during wwii... and believe it or not, my european country was invade by the japanese! (collonies count right?) anyway... my point is that the US and Europe have alot more in common that with Russia, and even thougth the US is quite totalitarian and alot less nationalist than nazi germany I still think we have more in common than the people from the land of the Czars (which btw were awesome, the last 200 russian years were amazing

Putin is only whining because the US has NATO and Russia no longer has the Warsaw Pact. and Russia may have never been conquered but no one since 1776 had the ball to invade the US. Oh and I know of a sort of "Slavic Union" it was called the SOVIET UNION and what happend there? has soon as they had the chance to leave within a year there was no more communism. why? because no one likes to be Russias bitch.
