Fake Pokemon Gold Version for NES

70k views... You all never cease to amaze me...

I had to use the cheap Windows Movie Maker for this vid since Ulead VideoStudio crashed on me when I tried to load the recorded video clips. (Might be a problem with codec compatibility? I used a lossless codec to keep the video high quality this time.)

Here's what some Chinese pirate did just to make some quick bucks. This guy attempted a Chinese remake of Gold, but since it's for the NES, well, you can expect some bad gameplay. No wild Pokemon, battle system is glitchy, and the worst ever menu system. There's no ability to save or set options. The only good thing was the Chinese translation script, which I think they stole from a real Chinese Gold version anyway.

And yes, those glitchy blocks you see on the side while walking aren't video compression artifacts, you see them during normal gameplay.

BTW, I replaced the sound with MIDI versions of Mario Kart DS's music, courtesy of VGmusic.com. =) The original sound was repetitive ear-bleeding 15-note beeps.
