  • Well I still have holes , but they are on the place of wire , do you think they might disappear after 1st wash ? And is it even possible to knit baby socks with one set of double pointed needles ?

  • @TheRusskajadevo4ka Yes - washing your socks should make a big difference in how big any gaps might look, as well as how even and neat your stitches look. To answer your second question - yes, it is possible to knit baby socks with one set of DPNs...but remember that one "set" is four or five needles.

  • When I'm turning my heel I always have holes in there , what's my problem ? I made around 10 socks but they all have holes !

  • @TheRusskajadevo4ka In this pattern we don't do a wrap & turn when we're turning the heel, but when you're using sock yarn and smaller needles, it is usually necessary to do wrap & turns to keep from getting holes. YouTube won't let me link to it here, but I have two videos that might help you - one is called Wrap & Turn, and the other is called Picking up Wraps. You can find these if you use the search box on my channel page. :)

  • I purchased your pattern which shows DPNs. I find the circular needle videos do not mesh with the written instructions exactly...didi I get the wrong instructions? Help

  • @nantuk2 Yes - I have separate patterns for DPN sock knitting and Magic Loop sock knitting. If you purchased the "Learn to Knit Socks" pattern, that pattern does not mesh with these videos. Please email me at my personal email address (found at the top of your pattern), and we can get this straightened out.

  • @verypinkknits Thank you so much ! I found it on your website ! I just love your tutorials !

  • @jennym6608 Hi Jenny - no, the pattern isn't easily shrinkable to baby sizes, BUT...once you learn the technique for magic loop, you can easily knit any sock pattern that way. This tutorial will teach you how to do it, then you can knit all your socks with magic loop instead of DPNs. :)

  • Thank you for your videos. Sock knitting scares me because of my clumbsyness with DPNs. I love the magic loop! I have, in fact, replaced all my DPN and straight needls with Addi Turbo 40" circs. Finding magic loop patterns is very difficult -- let alone tutorials! I think I might just break out my stash of sock yarn and give it a go! You make it look so easy ... and fun! Is your pattern shrinkable to baby sizes?

  • @hiztorybuff Don't let the fact that I disconnect the needle tips confuse you - sorry about that. It works up exactly the same whether the cord is connected or not - no need to use a DPN. You just turn your work back and forth (as I do in the video) and knit the section. The other stitches will just hang out on the cord, out of your way.
