  • Wow, it turned out much better than I thought, nice work. Usually people who demonstrate on images that have already been retouch end up making the image much worse. Also people who add makeup with photoshop usually have horrible taste or apply the makeup in a childish/overdone/out-of-style way. The makeup you applied suits the model very well and is modern in style. Are you a makeup artist?

  • @mikedimples thank you,i dont have much experience in adding makeup but thanks for liking my taste

  • Again great job. I'm writing all this because I think you've got a great eye and just need a little fine-tuning here and there. Subscribed! Hope you keep posting this kind of stuff.

  • One last thing. Although I like the taupe smokey shadow you went with, I think the transition is a little digital looking just because of how smooth it is. Generally in the real makeup world they don't have such a perfect smooth gradation (especially beneath the eye). I generally use a textured brush (subtly!) for when I do smokey eyes but if you prefer bringing in texture from another image that works too. It just helps to allow the viewer suspend disbelief and think it's real makeup.

  • I guess the only thing I'd do different is leave the original eye color. If it's not broken, don't fix it. Her original eye-color looks beautiful and suits the color harmony of the image more. The blue you went with is a little jarring and I feel like it unbalances the image in a way. That particular color of cobalt is also slightly unrealistic. If you're dead-set on blue eyes I'd add some more hue variety to her iris. Maybe some yellow/greens around her pupil would help make it more believable.

  • Also do you have a link to the larger size image? I'd like to take a look at how the fine details and texture look in the retouched version and it's hard to see on the small video.

    Thanks for sharing this.
