The New Orleans Mardi Gras Indians held their annual Super Sunday festivities on March 18, 2007. This video was shot in Central City, New Orleans, along Washington and Lasalle Streets.
Nice! I am posting this on my cj peeete myspace page - the corner of Washington & LaSalle is one of the most important in American music & cultural history - with the upcoming HOPE VI renovation of the Magnolia/C.J. Peete...much of the culture & heritage may be in danger...as HOPE VI may turn the area into anywhere USA - the culture is certainly being suppressed in Central City & Treme.
