Note: Shooting reloads or mil surplus ammo voids the rifles warranty - this is a test fire vid! This is the last 2 mags of the 1000 rnd without cleaning video using Romanian steel case ammo. This was done using this ammo as with an earlier version of the rifle this ammo would foul the gas system within 200 rnds or less enough to cause light primer strikes - filthy stuff. New commercial ammo did not have this problem but we knew if we could make it run this dirty ammo reliably then the commercial ammo would run even longer without issue. The rifle was lightly lubed on the bolt/carrier juncture at the start of the test and at the 500 rnd mark. The weapon was never cleaned during the test except for wire brushing the chamber just after the beginning of the 2nd 500 rnds and cleaning the extractor/extractor pocket in the bolt at the 800 rnd mark due to powder fouling causing the extractor to seize. On the 51st mag the 2nd or 3rd rnd failed to extract and had to be removed with a cleaning rod. We blame this on accumulation of case lacquer residue as the extractor was still free and worked fine through the remainder of the mag and the next to end the test. The rifle will be thoroughly cleaned and this test will be redone in the near future running new commercial ammo and the results compared.
