Hahaha, I have an AGS-001... Oh well, I guess it'll do. I've had it for many years, it's still working perfectly well... :p

So if I understand correctly, the screen is always lit on the AGS-101 model, but there are two different levels of brightness ?

Good review and very nice to see these two units next to each other. . I had a SP-model-1 and traded it in for a DS just to get the better screen. Of course having the option top play DS games is good too :-) But I hated the screen on the SP-1. Heck the Turbo Express from a 100 years earlier had a better screen than the SP-1 ;-)

@TheGreenMonkeyKing I agree 100 percent. the sp1 had a worse screen than a capacitor fixed gamegear, but it was nice to finally have a frontlit gameboy. defintly between that model and the ds, i would go with the ds. between ags-101 and the ds, its a harder question to ansewr

I have a model 1 actually it was the flame red but it was really damaged but I swapped the case shell with a blue one and it looks new now.
