FEARnet's Joe McCabe caught up with Marc Singer (star of the original V series) at last weekend's WonderCon 2011, where he talked about the long lasting appeal of the series and where he'd like to see his character go next should V get renewed for a third season.

@masonTganes The cheesyness of the 80s V have it's fun touch but it was the writing and crazy cast Jane Badler,Marc Singer,June Chadwick and Michael Ironside among the other actors that gave it's unique scifii touch that we (the 80's kids) loved. I never missed the V series and the sillyness of it all. I really hated what they did to Diana's watered down nice character....Diana's devilish terror is what made her the queen BITCH and all of a sudden she was turned in Princess Diana of Whales. WTF!

@mrfrogbutt1 I blame the sucess of the reimagined BATTLESTAR GALACTICA for the 2009 V.

Battlestar was a decent update...but the original show was way better interms of action& fun scifi.

83-85  V had a great concept and cool characters.. the budget and look was chesey but so was Star trek in the 60s.

I hope we get the original V back somehow someday

@masonTganes Amen! I couldnt believe what they did to Dianas character!!! I was horrified by the desecration of such a great character and show! I think V should have returned with Diana in high command with a tremendous wrath...instead of that stupid daughter concept that sucked total ass. Mark Singer should have come back as Donovan with a whole new Rebellion....that would have been fantastic but once again...ALL THE WRONG people got involved in creating a show they had ZERO understanding of.

Poor marc singer... got such a raw deal: The new V stunk and killed the hopes of a reunion of the original V.

And Beastmaster 2 & 3 were embarassing... yet Marc was in supershape for those.

This guy is 80s cult classic icon.. yet he hasnt had a good comeback to his original characters.
