** note, my mac recording messed up my 4th & 5th set - I did 20 reps + 17 reps on 2 min breaks but the recording skipped around :(...oh well **
Completed Week 5 Column 2 finally. Followed the recommended rest time for 45 secs in the fist 4 sets but had to take longer breaks for the remaining sets (about 2 min) and took 5 min before hit the last set.

@CuppaWorkout That does explain my confusing remarks!!
I still reckon you might improve your max reps if you didn't use pushups as your warmup. You could do a few minutes of shoulder rolls and arm swings to get your shoulders warmed up, and a bit of a stretch would be a good idea.

@CuppaWorkout SOunds like a good mix. I bet you can remember the day when circuit training with 15 - 25 lbs seemed really tough but you probably throw them around with ease now!

@rolandsc clarification, what I meant was I wished I could do power yoga but had no time hence I did jumping jacks & 30 push ups to warm up before the big sets :D

@rolandsc 2 workout a day was back in the day (which is period of Jan - May).
Now I do kickboxing 3 times a week, circuit training 1 or 2 times a week, and my own WODs in my living room including push ups. But I walk 2 times a day with my dogs so think that I'm happy with my level of activities right now.
The only thing that I'm missing right now is power lifting....my circuit training is great but typically this is like 15 - 25 lbs plate with high reps (i.e: walking squats etc).

@CuppaWorkout Its a wonder you have time to fit in all these challenges at all! That sounds like a very tough schedule! So when does your body get a chance to rest?! I think even pro athletes have a rest day! And you used to do 2 workouts a day! No wonder you can zip through those 100 burpees!
I agree with the need to warm up the muscles otherwise you could tear a tendon or something like I did a couple of years ago. But if you've done power yoga do you need to do the warmup pushups as well?

@rolandsc well the answer is that I need to loosen up the muscles. Last Monday, I went to kickboxing and my shoulders were shot....so it's an odd logic but basically, I don't have a fresh day because I always do things everyday....now it's better but before, I used to do 2 workout a day (kickboxing during lunch, crossfit at night).
I think if I do Power Yoga first then all muscles will be warm and loose, then it's a good time to do exhaustion test.

@rolandsc hey no worries, i was just kidding, thought it's awesome that you can hit 62 (38 to go) :). I used to lift too but haven't done so in the past 3 months (part of crossfit). don't feel bad, of course girls/women need to train harder if they want to compete with men :P.

@CuppaWorkout Mmm sorry about that. I was trying to be an "encouragement" by working with you! I'm sure you're right that it is easier for a man. Regarding training, I have not specifically trained pushups until a few weeks ago, But there are pushups and chest presses in my regular classes, and bench press occasionally in the gym. And I have been using heavier weights to push myself. And my 62 probably took twice as long as your 52. So I'm slow! Best wishes.

There is no way I should have made this. Don't let the numbers confuse you. I've be up in the 40's many times in the last 15 years. You've gone farther than that in 7 months. I'm glad I don't have to grovel yet. When I made my boast, I thought it would take you another month to get this far. Again, thanks for the motivation!

@TeamGo33 *sigh* lol....this is not fair, so you started less than a week and then you hit 50 already? what does that say about me? anyways...kidding aside, congrats!!! and I'm happy with my 52 number (for now :))
