recently ran my car thru a MacNeil top brush at the Atlantis Car Wash on Bushwick Ave. in Brooklyn. Nice piece of equipment as they replaced their first two mitters (was all econocraft) with two MacNeil top brushes. They work well but they do not "follow" the rear of the car like the econocraft equipment does. They were in the process of adding a MacNeil dryer as well as it was on a skid on the side of the car wash as of two weeks ago.

top brushes are the way to go, they make a dual top brush now as well. I live near their headquarters here in The Bronx. All of the wash operators in NY area pretty much use them probably beacuse it's easy to get service parts quickly. Few use hanna or Sonny's, or Superior. I must say though, motor city wash works has cool lookin stuff. Not a car wash owner, but I would if the opportunity presented itself. The econocraft website has movies of all their equipment.Look for the 16 basket mitt

i manage the best carwash in reno nevada by votes online and that top brush is spinning fast as hell and is very precise to the contor of the car. very impressive.
