F/A-18F Super Hornet Demonstration
VFA-106 "Gladiators"
2008 AirPower Over Hampton Roads
Langley AFB, Virginia
Sunday June 22, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as Radio and Menudo fly this Super Hornet through a very dynamic demonstration over Langley AFB. Take note of the landing towards the end of the demo, as they seem to have landed a wee bit too fast... in my mind, it seemed like we were in for some blown tires and it also looked like the wings never lost any lift.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

Also look at the nose gear and the length of the strut, as it has not been compressed, and that is further proof that no lift had been dumped.

Yes, but then on his "full stop" 13:00 landing he never lost lift on the wings. If you'll notice the a/c is actually trying to get off of the runway on the first attempt at a full stop.

The narrator made a great save! I am guessing that landing didn't get a good grade...
