Episode 5.
This episode is dedicated to the character most haunted by his past, Roland Deschain, the gunslinger. His homeland of Gilead had been destroyed while he was away at war, and all his friends had been killed in the massacre. But this is just a small snippit of the incredible plethora that makes up this mysterious man's past.
Song used is Limp Bizkit's version of Behind Blue Eyes.
Reason I used this song for this character: Roland is the only character who has eyes that tell those who look into them the stories of his tragic past. His eyes are also an incredible shade of pale blue.

they could never make a live action film because the actors best for this role are too old to play them. A young Leo DiCaprio is young Roland and of course a young Clint Eastwood is the older Roland. Too bad, 'tis a shame, aye so it is

I love the Dark Tower books, but I have no love for Roland.

Eddie, Susannah, Jake and Oy are the heroes, but Roland is just an obsessed jerk unworthy of the loyalty shown him (and he knew it!) In the end the SOB got what he deserved at the hands of the Tower. The type of people who wanted to climb the tower to the top: the Crimson King (that's how he got trapped there) Walter and Roland. Not the best of company to be in, and Roland never understood that until it was too late.
