having a private 747-8 is my dream, I would have some sort of sex with every inch of that aircraft >: ) Boeing did it again, the A380 now doesn't make up for as ugly design, and good god I despise airbus flight decks

hahaha, good for you !! Airbus flight decks arent that bad..... comfort wise they're better i'd say, but nothing feels as good as the Boeing i guess ........!

the 747-8 has about the same range as the a-380, except is approximately 16% more efficient, so, operating costs are lower. In addition, the price tag is about $40 million less then the A380. Currently, the 747-400 is about $60 million less than an A380. FY 2008 Deliveries: Airbus A380 = 12. Boeing 747 = 16 Boeing 747-8 scheduling pushed back.

747 is better because if airbus built the a380 on 1969 then it would crash a lot more often than the 747 so try to beat that airbus

the 747-8 may have a lot of features of the 787 but why doesnt it have the dimming windows?? that would be great! but i love the 747-8 anyway its the most beautiful 747 to date (closely followed by the -100 and sp)

@Pvjinflight The airconditioning unit is indeed under the centre wing tank as yu have mentioned however there was no immediate threat to it as:

1: Kerosene is not highly flammable in liquid form

2: The wires to the tank were designed to carry a voltage far below what would be required to ignite the fuel.

The fact that the wiring was damaged is a mere co-incidence, an act of fate because of an airlines poor maintenance standards. All new Boeings carry nitrogen in their empty tanks.
