This is the last video of getting off Effexor. The summary of the last 2 1/2-3 weeks. Sorry its so long!

UPDATE:
A year and a half later I am feeling good, by the grace of God I have not had major anxiety problems so i have had no need to get back on effexor...or any other drug. I hope these videos have helped.
Also, i noticed that at the end of this video it says I weigh 85 pounds...i wish...well, maybe not that low, but I weigh about 180-185.

  • okay so my psych. just put me on effexor and i'm having anxiety just from the thought of being hooked on it and the difficulty of coming off of it. i dont know what to do!

  • DUDE, do not worry about it!! This is not something that you normally get hooked on! As you saw in my videos i got off of it with very little complications! Most people get off of it no problem. Remeber, usually people that post stuff online had a problem with the drug...rarely do people who have good experiences (most people) with the drugs post anything. It's no big deal! DON'T WORRY!

  • I dont want to get into this argument, just wanted to let you guys know that I was not on effexor for depression. I was on it for anxiety. Thanks for watching the video, hope it helps.

I had been trying to get off this stuff for a year.. and each time i failed i looked at your video to inspire. I finally took my last dosage of effexor on January 1 2011. I am off it for almost 2 months and I FEEL GREAT!!!!! thank you for the motivation. Thank you.!

  • I am in the midst of the dizzyness that you speak of. I am going to press on though. I don't see how a person can know if they truly need these meds because when you are going through withdrawal that would make anyone seem depressed or anxious and thus, in need of a med. Thank you again for posting, we need more positive, encouraging posts on the internet!

  • Oh and dude, I've thrown up and come out in hives like that. It happened in a similar manner to me, but I'd been smoking weed all night and went straight to bed after downing a glass of milk and some banana bread. Next morning after some violent vomiting, I was red in the face like you. Not all over, but little tiny blood vessel looking spots

  • Man, I've just been prescribed this and I'm not shitting my balls all over the place at the thoughts of getting off it. Just fucking deal with it. I've dealt with meth comedowns, MDMA comedowns, I'm on 150mg Efexor XR and you are all pussies.

  • Thanks so much for these videos. I am on 150 mg and have been for several years. After the horror stories of withdrawal I've been rather terrified to get off of it. You've given me hope!

  • Did you have to restart any other med for anxiety after this?

  • Thanks for these, but should have done another weeks video at least!

  • I went to my doctor for depression a few years ago & was put on 175 mg of Effexor XR - twice a day. My Dr. told me that Depression was a disease & I can't be cured. I asked him to take me off the drug because I do not feel depressed any longer. He will not do it - he is insisting that I still have depression. I have tried to get off this drug on my own & I can't do it. He says the drug is not addicting - so why can't I get off it. Please if anyone has an answer let me know. I am scared.

  • just stop taking them - accept who you are - if you have an anxiety attack you have an anxiety attack - just accept it - they will last no more than 30 minutes - it is frightening I know but it will pass - we all feel anxious from time to time - thats just being human.

  • #4.. I didnt feel anything after. No withdrawels or the mini shocks behind the eye. I felt like a normal human being again. Dont ever listen to anyone who say's "the only way is to take Effexor for a life time" No that is not the answer. It only increases the mental illness when it hears that line. Sorry to JDavies444 for commenting long on his video. In fact I PM'ed him too before.

"Effexor is good for the person who takes them.. but eventually you'll be off them"

Message me if you have ?s
