ok so ive decided to put a bit of mine and gracies story.

so april 16th me and my friends went to the Ag center to see the BLM mustang sale. we just went to see them cause we had never seen wild horses before. well the first time i saw gracie i knew she was the horse i needed to have. i didnt think i would get her i sent pics to facebook saying please help me save her. she had 3 strikes. my friend scarlett (leicestersSoarinGirl) talked to her dad and they were gonna get a partially trained horse if everything worked out. that night my dad told me to come into his office to talk about the horse. qwithin 10 minute we had decided that i should make some calls. so i called all the people i knew with barns seeing where i could keep her. i of course ended up at annies :) where i had been riding my whole life. the next day at 6:45 we arrived at the ag center. we went and looked over the forms. we needed a 5 foot roundpen which we didnt have. so my dad called some friends and ended up buying an old one. he left to pick it up and take to the barn. Scarlett bought her horse and left. so hannah and i hung out at the pens or up at the paint show in the other arena. once we got her home "Gracie" lo0oked around and withing a week she literally climbed/jumped the roundpen fence (she climbs ive seen her) so he was int he pasture with the other horses . she had jumped all the fences to get up to the big house pasture. but she seemed calmer in with the other horses.so then began our real story. by may 1st we got a halter on her without using any harsh tac-tics. she spent the summer in a pasture with 5 other horses because of camp. i worked with her as much as i could. she didnt accept me at first. at the end of summer we tried to move her to the new barm. she charged at my friend clarke and reared over her head. but she not once tried to hurt me. when we got her to the barn we put her int he pasture. a few weeks later we got her into the barn and i was able to do real work with her. i haltered her easily groomed her picked out her feet i saddled her and finally i got on her. about 5 months after buying her i could get on Gracie. a while later i took her to nancies roundpen and joined up with her. she follows me everywhere and i dont give her treats (i dont want to spoil her) after about a month i could walk on her and get her to respond to simple motions. like turning. weve had our ups and downs if you want to know the details PM me.

i love my pony, i ride her bare back and bridal less , she acc gives kisses when i ask, she wont do it for anyone else, and when i had a bad fall of her due to my own fault, she galloped back to the stable to get help, i do love my pony:')

Amazing bond!I have an American Mustang I adopted from the blm about a year or so ago ,and she and I have a great bond , but anyways to my question well , I saddled her up , got on her , ha dno problems , except I cant seem to get her to respond anything while i'm on her , any advice ? and like I said before , Amazing !!

this reminds me soo much of me and the horse i lease. shes a tb.her owner died 4 years ago. she wasnt touched untill i got on. she follows me everywhere and trusts me with everything.she loves to chase me:)
