  • Wonderful

  • we have different tastes, this is ok. there are many styles of hindustani music out there, enough for all of us to enjoy something the most. Thank you for sharing that link, that was one of the most beautiful bandishes I have heard from Fateh Ali Khan

  • @GatoradeIsNotJuice Well I guess it is your preference and you cannot objectively say that he is not a master of his art. Maybe it is about time that you listen to him and develop some feeling. I suggest you start with this watch?v=B_F7A8aeU9Q

  • @shadowsburnme of course I am. I much prefer Bade Ghulam Ali and Barkat Ali Khan, over Fateh Ali and Amanat Ali Khan. This is just my preference. of course every name mentioned is a much better vocalist than I, and has made great contributions to Hindustani music. Just my preferences, see.

  • @GatoradeIsNotJuice you are comparing Bade Ghulam Ali Khan with Ustad Bade Fatah Ali Khan? wow.

  • @shadowsburnme what is the point of your comment? Of course I have heard of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan. With such confidence you say this.. it is amusing. Fateh Ali Khan does not give me such a feeling.. Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Rashid Khan, Ajoy Chakrabarty. they give such a feeling.

but it is not this singer so much as it is this Tarana that I find so moving.

  • @GatoradeIsNotJuice Then you clearly have not heard of Ustad Fatah Ali Khan and Ustad Asad Amanat Ali Khan

  • @cablerea Who the hell is Lydia? Sarod is an Indian instrument. So is Indian classical Music "Indian" in origins, not Arab. Duh.

  • I have no clue what the title means, all i know is that I am very glad to have been introduced to the sahrod by lydia of damascus.

  • this one transports me to the other world. it is rare to come upon such a feeling.
