you can also drill a hole into your mechanism so that when its triggered it doesnt fly off your trap. a simple dowel rod connected to two beams on either side is great. allows easy movement but keeps it on top of the trap making it easier to reset

Great trap! in 4 nights i cought 2 coons and a cat. the only thing i had to change was that i put the lever on the other side of the stick, because the coons seemed to pull the can towards them instead of push it away

@TheAtm47 I am just wondering if it would be possible for a bobcat or some other larger - sized creature to accidentaly wonder into the space .
